Canon R1: The Awaited Upgrade in R-Lineup

Canon EOS R1 is all the hype in the pro-photography realm, and due to good reason. The 100 Megapixel sensor combined with the 8K capability (if the rumors are to be believed) merits its name as one of the most-anticipated cameras.

Apart from the rumors, we have more reason to believe that it will have the most updated features because Canon explicitly answered to the Russian media that the R3 would not be the ‘flagship’ of the lineup.

As you can imagine, the only other upcoming camera that could be crowned the flagship is none other than the EOS R1. Keeping this report in view, we can assume that Canon is prepping EOS R1 as the successor of EOS-1D MARK III. 

Moreover, speculations are that it will succeed the lineup as an official mirrorless flagship. But, for now, take it with a pinch of salt.
